AI search optimization so that AI systems understand and find you

More and more people ask an assistant rather than Google. AI search optimization, also called GEO, works on whether those systems understand your company, can describe it, and have something accurate to cite.

People ask models, not a search box

Four sentences we hear more and more often

Questions about generative search are new, but they repeat. What they have in common is a company losing control of what machines say about it.

01

ChatGPT knows nothing about us

Ask about our category and it lists competitors. We are not mentioned, even though we have been doing this longer than they have.

02

The AI describes us wrongly

It names services we do not offer, or clients that are not ours. There is no form anywhere to correct it.

03

The AI summary answers instead of us

The user gets the answer in an AI overview and never reaches our site, because we are not one of the cited sources.

04

We do not know what to do about it

Everyone talks about GEO. Nobody says which specific thing has to change on the site.

If one of those sounds familiar, we deal with it on the intro call: fifteen minutes, no obligation.

How you end up inside a language model answer

  1. Questionsomeone asks ChatGPT, not Google
  2. The model looks for sourcespages that answer clearly
  3. Your siteif a machine can read it
  4. The citationyour name in the answer

How we make you readable to a machine

Search has split in two

A classic result is a list of links a person chooses from. A generative answer is a single sentence in which somebody is named and everyone else is not. The difference matters, because in the second case there is effectively no second place.

This is not a new trick. It is the sum of what an AI system needs before it can understand you at all: a plain definition of the company in visible text, structured data, answers to real questions, and company details that match everywhere they appear.

A quotable definition of the company
Schema.org structured data
Questions and answers in FAQ format
An llms.txt file
Consistent company details across the web

From a vague description to a citation

From a vague description to being named in the answer

Audit

We record how AI systems describe you today, what they find, and where they are wrong or have never heard of you.

Fixes

We fix the company definition, the structured data and the questions and answers, and make the company details consistent everywhere.

Monitoring

We keep checking whether you are named on the relevant questions and how accurate the description is.

Straight answers

What this is not

The market is new, so it is surrounded by promises nobody can keep.

It is not a guarantee that an AI will recommend you
It is not a paid placement inside AI answers
It is not a replacement for SEO
It is not a one-off fix that stays done forever

From a vague description to a citation

Four steps from the audit to a site a machine can read

  1. 1

    Audit of what machines see

We record what generative search says about you today and what it can actually read on your site.

  2. 2

    Clear and verifiable information

We put plain, quotable definitions into visible text. Hiding them in structured data alone is not enough.

  3. 3

    Structured data and llms.txt

We set up Organization, Service and FAQPage schema plus an llms.txt file at the root of the domain.

  4. 4

    Re-measurement

We ask the same models the same questions again and look at what changed. Where nothing changed, we say so.

You receive an itemized proposal the same or by the next business day at the latest after the intro call.

What a language model needs before it will cite you

Why Aithena

Four reasons, and one of them is that this is not magic

This corner of the industry sells itself as a secret. We would rather say what can be done and what cannot.

01

We state the limits.

We have no lever on ChatGPT or Perplexity that guarantees a mention. What we do have is a site that is understandable, quotable and consistent. Anyone promising you a place in a model answer is promising something they do not control.

02

We do this alongside SEO, because it is the same site.

Running it as a separate service alongside existing optimization duplicates the cost. Most of the same fixes help both; the difference is in how the content is written and marked up.

03

We do exactly what we did to our own site.

This site has llms.txt at the root of the domain, quotable definitions in visible text, questions and answers on every service page, and structured data for the organization, the services and the questions. There is no theory here we have not run on ourselves.

04

We do not sell a keyword nobody searches for.

We reviewed 291 keywords for the Slovenian market. Terms around artificial intelligence have almost no search volume there, so this is an addition to SEO rather than a replacement for it. In English the volumes are different, and we will tell you which case you are in before the proposal.

On the intro call we run the questions live, look at what generative search answers about you today, and say what can be done about it.

What you receive

After the work, AI systems have clearer and verifiable information about you.

More and more people ask ChatGPT or a Google AI overview instead of searching. We work on making the answer about you accurate.

01

Immediately

We record what AI says about you

We look at what AI systems answer about your company today and where the information is wrong or missing.

02

During the work

Content and data the models read

We fix the structure, the facts and the answers so a model can summarize them without guessing.

03

At handover

Tracking of mentions and citations

You get recorded answers from before and after, so you can see what changed.

Fit

Let us also say when it is not worth it

We would rather tell you openly when a service is not right for you than have you spend money on something that will not work.

Good fit

Worth doing if

  • customers increasingly ask AI tools about solutions
  • content about you already exists and needs sorting out
  • you want control over what models say about you

Wrong timing

Wait if

  • you do not yet have a basic page stating the facts about your offer
  • you expect a guaranteed citation, which nobody can promise
  • you target only local customers who pick up the phone

Questions

Short and clear answers

Answers to the questions we hear most often before an engagement starts.

GEO stands for generative engine optimization. Classic SEO works on getting your page into the list of links. This works on whether an AI system such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google AI Overviews understands you, can describe you, and has something accurate to cite.

No. The same foundations, meaning an accessible site, clear structure and real content, serve both. This adds things classic SEO never required, such as quotable statements, structured company data and an llms.txt file.

No, and nobody can. What we can do is remove the reasons an AI system would fail to understand or cite you: a vague company description, missing structured data, content with no direct answers, and inconsistent details across the web.

We track whether AI systems mention you on the relevant questions and how accurately they describe you. Traffic from those sources can also be separated from classic search in GA4.

For companies that buyers research and compare before purchasing. If the decision follows a consultation, a comparison of providers or a request for a recommendation, more and more of those conversations happen inside AI tools.

Quotable definitions in visible text, answers to real questions, structured data for the organization and the services, consistent company details across the web, crawler access, and Bing Webmaster Tools. We also add an llms.txt file, although Google does not use it. Exactly what we did to our own site.

We do it alongside SEO rather than as a separate line. The advanced SEO package with keyword research, competitor analysis and landing page optimization is 390 EUR, and further work is 35 EUR per hour. Indicative prices are on the price list.

Book a call

Tell us where you are and we will set up a call

The intro call takes about fifteen minutes. We look at your situation and say what is worth doing first.

You receive an itemized proposal the same or by the next business day at the latest after the call, not a week later with different numbers. If we judge that the service is not worth it for you, we say so before the proposal.

  • We reply every day, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Central European Time (3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern)
  • No lock-in and no subscription to talk
  • If we cannot help you, we tell you right away
